ShelterBox provides disaster relief by distributing tough, green plastic boxes containing a 10-person tent and ancillary equipment to help a family of 10 survive for at least six months.

ShelterBox often reaches disaster scenes (earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, wars, volcanoes etc) ahead of other, larger aid agencies. Since 2001 they’ve provided shelter for over 800,000 people and helped millions worldwide.

Each ShelterBox costs about £490, including all materials, packing, storage, transport and distribution to individual recipients worldwide.
